“Corvus Corax + The Tesla Coil”, Mighty Tieton, Tieton, WA. August, 2007 In conjunction with a presentation of the Yakima Symphony, Yakima Valley Museum and Teatro ZinZanni, Packer will present 20 second performances of electricity, ozone and light from the illuminated igloo.

AWARDS

Wurlitzer Foundation
Allan Packer has been selected to receive the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation residency grant in 2008, Taos, New Mexico to research petroglyphs and architecture of the ancients and dinosaur archeological sites as a source of content for new sculpture dealing with the specific locations of these sites related to constellation triangulation. Packer plan’s to construct a mechanical sculpture/painting capturing the spirit and mystique of the unknown.

Commissions

Working with Susan Balshor, Packer is casting a large glass/bronze sculpture commissioned by the collector Tim Noonan for a donation to the Pilchuck Glass School.
